Website terms

Last updated: 6 November 2026

These terms apply when you use our company website, dfrntgroup.com, or a DFRNT Group price checker, quiz or quote page that DFRNT Group runs, and when you send an enquiry through one of them. Please read them before you send us your details.

If you buy leads from us or use a business account, our business terms apply to that instead.

Who runs this page

DFRNT Group Pty Ltd (ABN 21 679 198 317) runs this page. In these terms, "we", "us" and "our" mean DFRNT Group Pty Ltd, and "you" means the person using the page.

This page may carry one of the names below. The table says what each one is.

NameWhat it is
REEPAA brand of DFRNT Group Pty Ltd. It is not a separate organisation, a policy archive, a not-for-profit or a public body.
SolarCompareThe name of a page run by DFRNT Group Pty Ltd. It gives you an estimate and passes your enquiry to one business. It does not collect quotes from several businesses for you to compare.
DFRNT GroupOur company name, used on dfrntgroup.com and app.dfrntgroup.com.
A client's nameA business whose quote page and advertising we run. The business is named on its page.

DFRNT Group is not a government body, a government program or a rebate authority. We do not decide who gets a rebate or a discount. Meta, Facebook, Instagram and Google do not run or endorse this page.

What the page does

The page may give you a free price or rebate estimate, and lets you ask to be contacted about the work. The service is free for you. Businesses pay us.

On dfrntgroup.com

Our company website describes our businesses and links to them. It takes no enquiries. The sites it links to, such as app.dfrntgroup.com, have their own terms, and those apply there.

On our own price and quote pages

On REEPA, SolarCompare and other DFRNT Group price and quote pages, we sell your enquiry to one business that pays us for it. We choose the business by where the work is, the type of work and which businesses have paid us for enquiries in that area. We sell each enquiry to one business only.

Sometimes no business can take your enquiry when you send it. If so, we may hold it and sell it later to one business, at a lower price. This can happen when no business covers your area, when the business that covers your area has paused, or when it has run out of funds or budget and no business takes your enquiry within 24 hours. We offer a held enquiry for sale for up to 40 days. After that, no business can buy it. The privacy policy says how long we keep your details.

The business that buys a held enquiry chooses it from a list. It will be a business that does the type of work you asked about, but it may not be in your local area, and it may contact you about it during the contact period described below. Before a held enquiry sells, businesses can see its rough area, type and age, but not your name or contact details.

After a business buys or receives your enquiry, it handles your details under its own privacy policy.

On pages we run for a client

On a page we run for a client (the client is named on the page), your enquiry goes to that client. The client pays us to run the page and its advertising. We keep a copy of your enquiry to run the page and the client's advertising, as the privacy policy explains.

Your estimate is a guide only

Your estimate is worked out from the answers you give and from current price and rebate rules as we last checked them. It is not a quote, an offer or a decision about whether you are eligible for any rebate or discount.

We do not give advice

We do not give financial, tax, engineering or product advice, and we do not recommend one product or business over another. Any system size shown is a typical size for your answers, not a recommendation. Think about your own situation and get independent advice if you need it before you buy.

The business that contacts you is not our agent. Any contract for products or work is between you and that business. That business is responsible for its quote, its work, its licences and its warranties.

Who can use the page

What happens to your details

We collect, use, sell, share and keep your details as set out in the DFRNT Group privacy policy, which also names the service providers that help us run the page. Where this page has its own data notice, it is linked under the form and gives the short version. The page also uses cookies and similar tools while you use it, including Meta's pixel and device identification, as the privacy policy explains. We may use automated tools, including AI services, to assess whether an enquiry is genuine and to sort enquiries. No decision that affects you is made by those tools alone.

On a page we run for a client, the client's own privacy policy covers how the client handles your details. That page says it is run by DFRNT Group for the client, and both privacy policies are linked on it.

Contact about your enquiry

When you send an enquiry, you ask to be contacted about it. The business that buys or receives your enquiry may call, SMS or email you about it. This covers contact about your enquiry only. It does not cover marketing about other things.

A line of text under the button you press to send your enquiry tells you that, by sending it, you agree to be contacted about it, or that you agree to these terms, which include this contact. When you send it, the business that buys or receives your enquiry, including a business that buys it as a held enquiry, may call, SMS or email you about it for 3 months from the day you send it, even if your number is on the Do Not Call Register. After that, contact is between you and that business: it needs your further agreement or another lawful basis, and it must follow the Do Not Call rules. We keep a record of the wording you were shown and when. You can withdraw your agreement at any time in the ways set out below.

To stop contact:

You can also email us at privacy@dfrntgroup.com. We then tell the business that has your enquiry to stop contacting you, within 5 business days.

You can also ask us not to sell or pass on your enquiry, or ask us where we got your details and which business has your enquiry. Email us at privacy@dfrntgroup.com. We do this free. We stop passing on your enquiry within 5 business days, and answer your other requests within 30 days. If we have not sold your enquiry yet, we will not sell it. If we have, we tell the business that has it. We log every request, whether you send it by email or through the form on our privacy page.

Using the page properly

You must not:

We may block access, or refuse to pass on an enquiry, if we reasonably believe these rules have been broken.

Intellectual property

We own, or are licensed to use, the content, design, software and brand names on this page. Client brand names and logos belong to the client. You may view and print pages for your own personal use. You must not copy, republish or sell any part of the page without our written permission.

The page itself

We try to keep the page available and accurate, but it may sometimes be unavailable or contain errors. We may change, pause or stop any part of it. The page may link to other websites, such as a client's own site. We do not control those sites and their own terms apply to them.

Our liability

Our services come with guarantees that cannot be excluded under the Australian Consumer Law. These terms do not take away or limit those guarantees, or any other right you have under a law that cannot be taken away or limited.

For any other claim about the page or the estimate, and only as far as the law allows, our liability to you is limited to giving you the estimate again. This limit does not apply to loss caused by our fraud, by something we did wrong on purpose, by personal injury, or by our handling your personal information in a way the law does not allow.

Complaints

If you are unhappy with the page or how we have handled your enquiry, contact us at privacy@dfrntgroup.com. We will try to resolve it with you. You can also contact the consumer protection agency in your state or territory. The privacy policy explains how to make a privacy complaint. If you are not happy with how we handle a privacy complaint, you can complain to the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner at oaic.gov.au.

Law that applies

These terms are governed by the laws of Queensland, Australia. You or we may bring a dispute in the courts of Queensland or in any other Australian court that can hear it. This does not take away any protection you have under the laws of the state or territory where you live.

Changes to these terms

We may update these terms. The date below shows when this version took effect. The version in effect when you send an enquiry applies to that enquiry. A later change does not apply to an enquiry you have already sent.

These terms are effective from 6 November 2026.
